Challenger Families,
Let’s Celebrate Our Amazing Challenger Staff! Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6-10), and I hope you’ll join me in celebrating the incredible educators who make Challenger Elementary such a special place. Life gets busy, but even a small gesture can go a long way in reminding our staff how much they are valued.
I may be biased, but I truly believe we have some of the most dedicated and talented educators you’ll find. Every day, our teachers deliver high-quality lessons, support student needs, and manage the many moving pieces of the classroom. But that’s just the beginning.
What really sets them apart is their commitment to the whole child. They build strong relationships, notice when a student needs extra support, and go the extra mile — whether quietly buying supplies, adjusting lessons to student interests, or spending evenings planning and purchasing items for activities in the classrooms. These little things may not make headlines, but they make a big difference.
I am proud to lead such a caring and passionate team. As we head into Teacher Appreciation Week, please join me in celebrating them. A simple note, a kind word, or a quick email can truly lift their spirits as we head into the final stretch of the school year
.
Thank you for your partnership and support in making Challenger such a great place for kids to learn and grow.
Sincerely,
David Cherry
