Mrs. Aldred's 3rd Class making apple cider
Third graders in Mrs. Aldred's class had the opportunity to work together to make apple cider last week.  The students brought in a variety of apples and each child was able to put some apples into the press.  Next, they took turns cranking the wheel and crushing the apples.  After the entire container was full of crushed apples the press was turned to squeeze out the apple cider.  The students were surprised by how many apples it took to make one pitcher of apple cider.  Afterwards the students hard work paid off as they enjoyed drinking their fresh, homemade cider!
