HOWELL, MICH. Feb. 9, 2018 - Students at Challenger Elementary recently learned about healthy eating habits and the importance of exercise when the “Milk Means More Jump With Jill Live Tour” visited the school. The “Jump With Jill Live Tour” is a nationally acclaimed rock and roll nutrition show tours Michigan in support of health, community, and environment. The high energy show had students dancing and singing as they learned about the importance of exercise and eating healthy goods. Challenger was one of 35 Michigan elementary schools to be awarded the show by Michigan’s Dairy Farmers in partnership with the United Dairy Industry of Michigan (UDIM).

“Our students loved the ‘Jump With Jill’ show. They were engaged throughout the performance while learning about the importance of eating right and making healthy choices,” said Dave Cherry, Challenger Elementary principal. “The show really built on the initiatives that we have launched through our Building Healthy Communities Grant.”

“We are dedicated to being a source of information on dairy foods and Michigan dairy farming,” said Sharon Toth, CEO of United Dairy Industry of Michigan. “The Milk Means More brand captures the impact Michigan’s dairy industry has throughout our state, from providing nutritious and wholesome foods, to jobs in our communities. We are so proud to partner with Jump with Jill to take this message to Michigan kids.”

Following the show, Challenger received educational materials for schools to continue the show’s messages all year long.
